I got an email today with the award from Boldbrush month of June contest.
The painting was sold at the Walsingham Gallery.
Very happy to have won the award. It is one of my favorite acrylic paintings.

Marshes at Bufflehead's

It has been awhile since I have posted. Here is a new oil done in the parking lot of Bufflehead's restaurant at Hills Beach in Biddeford. The distant view is looking across to Biddeford Pool another of my new favorite summer painting locations.
For those who may be interested I have been setting up painting sessions with several students in these areas and also Cape Porpoise. I also have a weekly class at River Tree Arts on Wed. from 9am-12 noon. The weather has been great to get out to paint!
This painting is 12 x 16" in oils.

Morning at Arundel Wharf

This is a painting done on location while teaching my class for River Tree Arts in Kennebunk.
It is an oil on canvas 12 x 16". My next classes there begin on June 30,2010.

Hazy and Hot -Mother's beach

This painting was done on the beach this morning while teaching my class for River Tree Arts in Kennebunk, Maine. It is in oils and is 16 x 20". I wanted to work larger to demonstrate brushwork and problem solving on a larger painting.

Sundown at Stonington, ME

This is one of two paintings I have worked up for my gallery up in Blue Hill, Maine. The season is about to begin and he will be here to collect new work for the gallery. This one is 16 x 20" in acrylics. I have several other paintings from the region of Deer Isle, Stonington, and Blue Hill for him to view. It is always a fun time to get ready for the new season.
